Ingredients: Menthol Sudafed broncho 20mg/ml oral solution contains gvayfenezin, which is a type of medicine called an expectorant. It helps to relieve chest cough and liquefies bronchial secretions and facilitates coughing but the cough becomes more productive.

 

The drug is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years. 

 Excipients, xanthan gum, sodium chloride, saccharin sodium, ammonium glitsirizat, sodium benzoate E211, citric acid anhydrous, sodium citrate, makrogolglitserolov hydroxystearate 40; levomenthol; raspberry flavor F2126 (contains ethanol, glucose and fructose); caramel E150 (containing glucose ); Ponceau 4R E124; glycerol, macrogol 1500, propylene glycol, ethanol 96% - 39,7 mg; purified water.

Dosage and administration: 

Adults and adolescents over 12 years: Oral - 10 ml (200 mg gvayfenezin) 4 times daily. Maximum daily dose - 40 ml (800 mg gvayfenezin).

Children under 12 years: Not recommended. 

Impaired hepatic / renal function: Use with caution in severe hepatic or renal failure. If cough persists for more than a week, resumed, or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache, consultation with a physician is necessary. 

Contraindications:

The product is contraindicated in persons with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Special warnings and precautions for use:

This product is not suitable for persistent or chronic cough such as cough caused by asthma or together with abundant secretion, except on prescription. Persistent cough may be a sign of serious illness. If cough persists for more than a week, resumed, or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache, consultation with a physician is necessary. Use with caution in severe hepatic or renal failure. Coadministration with agents that inhibit the cough is not recommended. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine. This product contains contains 4.7 vol. % Ethanol (alcohol), ie to 400 mg per dose, equivalent to about 10 ml of beer, wine, 4 ml of a dose of 10 ml. It can be harmful for people suffering from alcoholism. The ethanol must be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with kidney or liver disease or epilepsy.
This product contains red dye Ponceau 4R (E124), which may prezdizvika allergic reactions. This product contains 17,6 mg of sodium in a dose of 10 ml. This should be considered in people with control of sodium in the diet.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction:

If urine is collected within 24 hours of application of this product metabolite gvayfenezin can prevent laboratory determination of 5-hydroxy indolotsetnata acid (5-HIAA) and vanillylmandelic acid (VMA) in urine. In the treatment of cough Expectorants such gvayfenezin should not be combined with agents that inhibit the cough as the combination is not logical and patients may be exposed to unnecessary side effects.

Pregnancy and lactation:

There is little information on the effects of the adoption of this product during pregnancy in humans. The product should not be used during pregnancy unless the potential benefit to the mother is more than possible risks to the fetus. It is not known for sure whether gvayfenezin is excreted in breast milk. 

Effects on ability to drive and use machines:


Based on Pharmacodynamic Profile gvayfenezin not expected to affect the product's ability to drive or operate machinery.
