What is Beavit Forte and what it is used for
Bevit Forte contains 3 vitamin B vitamins: vitamins B1, B6 and B12.
When used in high doses, these vitamins have an adjuvant effect in the treatment and alleviation of pain associated with some inflammation of the nerves.
Bevit Forte solution for injection is used as an adjunct to the treatment of: nerve inflammation (neuritis), nervous pain (neuralgia), nervous irritation resulting from vertebral diseases, cervical pain (so called cervical syndrome ), pain in the shoulder or arm, or in the lumbar region, sciatic pain, neuralgic pain in the face (trigeminal neuralgia) or between the ribs.

2. What you need to know before using Beavit Forte
Do not use Beavit Forte:
if you are allergic to one of the active substances or any of the other ingredients of Bevit Forte (listed in section 6);
in children and adolescents up to 18 years of age.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about using Beavit Forte:
if you are treated with levodopa (L-DOPA) against Parkinson's disease. Please tell your doctor before taking Bevit Forte ampoules;
if you have had allergic symptoms in the past after using vitamin-containing preparations: Please also tell your doctor about this before you start treatment;
If you have a specific spinal cord disease (fuculary myelosis) or B12 vitamin B12 deficiency (penicillin anemia): Please tell your doctor that you are suffering from this type of illness before starting treatment with Bevit Forte because the use of a medicine, containing vitamin B12 may affect your symptoms and your laboratory results.
Please note: Bevit Forte solution for injection contains in vitamins in concentrations that are in part 100 times the normal daily dose for adults.
Therefore, Beavit Forte should never be used to treat any complaints without consulting a doctor!
Only clear, red solution for injection should be used.

Other medicines and Beavit Forte
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
With concomitant use of levodopa ("L-DOPA") to treat Parkinson's disease, vitamin B6 in Beavite Forte may reduce the effect of L-DOPA.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. Provided the recommended doses have not been exceeded, no adverse reactions associated with the use of B1, B6 and B12 during pregnancy have been observed so far. The safety of high doses of vitamin B6 during pregnancy has not been fully demonstrated.
There is insufficient experience in breast-feeding women. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, your doctor will decide if you can treat yourself with Beavit Forte.
If you become pregnant during treatment, please tell your doctor about it.

3. How to use Beavit Forte
Always use Beavit Forte exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

If your doctor has not prescribed another dose, the usual dose is as follows:
In severe (in most cases severe) pain: 1 injection daily to resolve the symptoms.
In mild cases: 1 injection 2 to 3 times a week.
Your doctor will decide how long to continue treatment.

Use in children and adolescents:
Bevit is not to be used by children and adolescents up to 18 years due to the amount of active substances.

Application:
The contents of Bevit Forte solution for injection are injected into the gluteal (sciatic) muscle, usually by a doctor.

If you have been given more than the required dose of Beavit Forte
Bevit Forte has been overdosed only with very prolonged use of extremely high doses. Nervous system reactions (impaired coordination of movements, convulsions and EEG changes) have been reported following overdose of vitamin B6. In isolated cases, excessive secretion of sebaceous glands or a certain type of anemia (hypochromic anemia) has occurred. In isolated cases, overdose of vitamin B12 has led to allergic reactions and skin changes (eczema, acne).

Tip for doctors:
Treatment of the symptoms of overdosage should be symptomatic.

If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Beavit Forte can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

Hypersensitivity reactions:
Very rarely, skin hypersensitivity reactions (rash, redness, small blisters, comedones) may occur.
Very rarely, allergic reactions have been reported after injection of vitamin B1, as well as B12. This, however, is mainly in the case of intravenous administration, a route of administration not used in Bevit
Nervous system disorders:
Very rare cases of nerve lesions (eg, impaired tendon reflexes, unsteady gait, disturbed superficial and deep sensation - muscular or skin).

Reporting of side effects
If any of the side effects gets serious, tell your doctor or pharmacist or nurse. This includes all possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.
As you report side effects, you can contribute to getting more information on the safety of this medicine.

5. How to store Beavit Forte
Store in a refrigerator (2 ° C - 8 ° C).
Store in the original package in order to protect from light. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use Beavit Forte after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of medicines in the sewage system or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.

6. Package Contents and Additional Information
What contains Beavit Forte
The active substances are:
1 ampoule (2 ml) contains:
Thiamin hydrochloride (vitamin B1): 100 mg;
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6): 100 mg;
Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12): 1 mg.
The other ingredients are:
Diethanolamine (5 mg), water for injections, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), hydrochloric acid (for pH adjustment).

What it looks like and what the pack contains
Clear, red solution in a brown glass ampoule.
5 ampoules, each containing 2 ml.
