WHAT IS Vidisic AND WHAT IT IS USED?

Vidisic is a substitute for tears in the "dry eye" (synthetic artificial tears).
It is used to replace the tear fluid in the case of disordered tear production and for the symptomatic treatment of dry eye syndrome.


2. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU USE Vidisic

Do not use Vidisic if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Take special care with Vidisic

If you wear contact lenses.
Before wearing Visitsik, wearing contact lenses should take them off and wait for 15 minutes before reinserting them.

Using other medicines:

So far no specific interactions are known.

Note:

If Vidisic is used in conjunction with other eye drops, there should be an interval of approximately 5 minutes between the applications. If Visicz is used in conjunction with other eyebrows, there should be an interval of approximately 15 minutes between the applications.
Visible should always be the last drug administered.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or are likely to use other medicines.

No studies with Vidisic have been conducted in pregnant women, but on the other hand there are no suspicious factors against the use of Vizizik during pregnancy and lactation.
However, this medicinal product may only be used during pregnancy and lactation after careful consideration by your doctor of possible benefits against possible risks.

Driving and using machines

As this product may affect visual acuity briefly, causing strips, also affecting reactivity, even when applied as indicated, at that time you should not drive, operate without a secure support or with machines.


3. HOW TO USE Vidisic

Always use Vidisic as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

Directions for use:

For eye application.

Dosage:

The treatment of dry eye syndrome requires an individual dosing regimen.
Depending on the severity and intensity of the complaints, one drop should be dropped in the conjunctival sac 3-5 times a day or more, as well as about 30 minutes before bedtime.

Duration of application:

Visitsik is suitable for long-term treatment.
When Vidisic is used to treat dry eye, which is usually a long-term treatment, an eye doctor should be consulted.

Use in children:

No data available. "Dry eye" does not apply to children aged 10-18 years.

If you have used more than the required dose of Vitamin:

No specific overdose reactions are known.

If you have forgotten to use Vidisic
Do not take a double dose of eye gel, and apply when it is time for the next dose, and follow the same dosing regimen and interval / rhythm mentioned above or what your doctor has recommended. If necessary, you may also be able to administer a Viziscc between the two specified application times or catch up with the missed dose.

If you have stopped using Vidizik:

You should expect the typical symptoms of dry eye syndrome to reappear. As much as possible, do not stop taking Vidisic without first consulting your doctor.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, Vidisic can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

For information on the frequency of adverse reactions, the following categories should be taken as the basis:

Very common: more than 1 patient treated than 10
Common: 1 to 10 treated patients out of 100
Uncommon: 1 to 10 patients treated than 1,000
Rare: 1 to 10 treated patients out of 10,000
Very rare: Less than 1 patient treated than 10,000
Not known: available data can not be estimated
Possible side effects:

Very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions to any of the ingredients may occur.
Vidisic contains a preserved cetrimide that can cause eye irritation (burning, redness and sensation of a foreign body in the eye) and can damage the corneal epithelium, especially in frequent and prolonged use.
If you have such symptoms, you should prefer products without preservatives to treat chronic dry keratoconjunctivitis (dry eye syndrome).
If you experience hypersensitivity or eye irritation, please discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.

Note: If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes all possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.


5. HOW TO STORE Vidisic ?

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

The medicine should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after EXP (see carton and tube).

Storage conditions:

Store below 25 ° C.

Expiry date after tube opening:

Discard any unused quantity six weeks after the first opening of the tube.

Do not dispose of medicines in the sewage system or in the household waste container. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What does a Vidisic Store contain?

The active substance is: carbomers,
1 g eye gel contains 2 mg carbomers (viscosity 40,000 - 60,000 mPa.s).

The other ingredients are: cetrimide, sorbitol, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment) and water for injections.
