ARCOXIA WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED

ARCOXIA belongs to a group of medicines called COX-2 inhibitors. They belong

to the family of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)

ARCOXIA helps reduce pain and swelling (inflammation) in the joints and muscles of people with

osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and gout.

 

What is osteoarthritis?

 

Osteoarthritis (also called osteoarthritis) is a disease of the joints, leading to a gradual

destruction of cartilage, which is located at the ends of the bones

movement. The result is inflammation, pain, tenderness, stiffness, and

immobilization.

 

What is rheumatoid arthritis?

BEFORE YOU TAKE ARCOXIA

 

Do not take if you are allergic ARCOXIA (svrahuvstvitelni) to Etoricoxib or any of the other ingredients of ARCOXIA

 If you are allergic to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including aspirin and COX-2 inhibitors

 If you have a stomach ulcer or bleeding in your stomach or intestines

 If you have severe liver disease

 If you have severe kidney disease

 If you are pregnant or may become pregnant or breastfeeding

If you are under 16 years

 If you have inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis or colitis

 If your doctor has diagnosed heart problems including heart failure (moderate or severe), angina (chest pain) or have had a heart attack, bypass surgery, disease, peripheral arterial (poor circulation in the legs due to narrowing or blockage of arteries) or any type of stroke (including micro stroke or transient ischemic attack or T 1 bis). Take special care with ARCOXIA

 

ARCOXIA may not be suitable for you or you may need regular monitoring if your condition matches any of the following conditions: You have a history of stomach bleeding or ulcers

You are dehydrated - for example due to a prolonged bout of vomiting or diarrhea

 You have swelling due to fluid retention

Have a history of heart failure, heart attack or other cardiac disease

 Have a history of high blood pressure. ARCOXIA can increase blood pressure in some people, especially at high doses, and your doctor will want to check your blood pressure.

 Have a history of stroke or mini strokes

 Have a history of kidney or liver

Taking other medicines

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

HOW TO STORE ARCOXIA

What ARCOXIA

 

The active substance is etoricoxib. Each tablet contains 60 mg eterokoksib.

 

The other ingredients are:

 

Tablet core: calcium hydrogen phosphate (anhydrous), croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose.

 

Tablet coating: carnauba wax, lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), triacetin.

 

The 30, 60 and 120 mg also contain also iron oxide yellow (E172) and indigo carmine (E132).
