WHAT DOES CHLOPHADON contain?
Each tablet contains the medicines clonidine hydrochloride 0.150 mg and chlorthalidone 20 mg.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, calcium hydrogen phosphate, wheat starch, povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, colloidal silica.

WHAT IS CHLOPHADON

pressure) with chlorthalidone (a dehydrating drug). Clonidine lowers blood pressure, heart rate, and dilates blood vessels. Chlorthalidone has a long-lasting dehydration effect. The interaction of the two components leads to a stronger and prolonged blood pressure lowering effect.
WHAT IS CHLOPHADON used for?
Chlofadone tablets are used to treat high blood pressure.
WHEN SHOULD YOU USE CHLOFADON?
You should not use CHLOPHADON tablets in the following cases:
If you are allergic to medicines, other sulfonamides, or any of the excipients;
If you have a heart condition that is associated with cardiac arrhythmias and conduction;
In peripheral vascular spasm (Raynaud's disease);
If you have a cerebrovascular disease;
In case of decreased potassium content in the blood;
In severely impaired renal or hepatic function.
BEFORE YOU START TREATMENT WITH CHLOFADON
Tell your doctor if you have any chronic illness, if you are hypersensitive to other medicines or foods, or if you are taking other medicines.
Tell your doctor if you have a heart condition, circulatory disorders, kidney disease.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Always consult your doctor before taking any medicine during pregnancy.
If you are pregnant, Clofadon treatment is only under medical supervision. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding as the ingredients of the medicine pass into breast milk and it is not recommended to take the medicine while breast-feeding.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
When using Chlofadon, drowsiness, dizziness, delayed reactions, and lowering blood pressure may occur which may impair the patient's ability to concentrate. In the case of treatment with Chlofadon® for motor vehicle drivers and persons operating machinery, it is recommended to discontinue activities requiring caution and prompt response.
Information on excipients
Due to the presence of wheat starch in the tablet composition, the product is unsuitable for people with gluten intolerance (gluten enteropathy).
Due to the presence of lactose in the composition of the medicinal product, it may be unsuitable in people with impaired sugar absorption (lactase deficiency, galactosemia or glucose / galactosin malabsorption syndrome).
WHAT ARE THE MEDICINES MAY INTERACT WITH CHLOFADON?
Please tell your doctor about any medicines you are currently taking or have recently taken, whether prescribed or purchased without a prescription. This is important because Clofadone may alter the activity of some drugs or vice versa, some drugs may alter its effects.
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
other medicines for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as diuretics (drugs for drainage of the body), vasodilators, beta-blockers (propranolol), calcium antagonists (verapamil), ACE inhibitors (captopril, enalaprilos), digicolides; central nervous system medications - antipsychotics, antidepressants, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, sleeping pills, lithium, antihistamines; anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic medicinal products; anti-diabetic agents; anti-asthmatic products (salbutamol); carbenoxolone (an ulcer); allopurinol (a medicine for the treatment of gout); tetracycline (an antibiotic).
Do not use alcohol or alcohol-containing medicines during treatment with CHLOPHADON
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
The dose and duration of treatment are determined by your doctor. It is important that the medicine is used as prescribed by your doctor. You should not change the dosage or discontinue treatment without first consulting your doctor, even if you feel well. Try to take the medicine at the same time each day.
Method of administration: The tablets are taken orally during meals.
Adults: The usual starting dose is 1/2 - 1 tablet daily. If necessary, the dose is gradually increased by 1 / 2- 1 tablet daily (until reaching the desired blood pressure), administered 2-3 times a day.
IF YOU TAKE MORE CHLOPHADON, IF NECESSARY
If you take more than the prescribed dose, you may feel dizzy, drowsy, slow heart rate; vomiting, respiratory distress, seizures may occur. Seek medical attention immediately!
If you forget to take Clofadon
If you forget to take one dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, take it as usual, skipping the dose you forgot. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Continue to take the medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
Like all medicines, Clophadon can have side effects. However, they are not necessarily observed in all patients, so you may not get any response.
Clofadon is generally well tolerated by patients. The most common are dry mouth, drowsiness, anxiety, dizziness and constipation. Other less common side effects are: heart rhythm disorders; lowering blood pressure, peripheral vasoconstriction; increased arousal, headache, insomnia, trembling, restlessness; depression, hallucinations, memory disorders; lack of appetite, nausea, vomiting, inflammation of the salivary glands, diarrhea; jaundice; difficulty urinating, frequent urination; impotence; enlargement of mammary glands in men; itching; yellow vision; rashes, edema, increased photosensitivity; inflammation of the parotid glands, reduction of the lacrimal and nasal secretions.

The medicine should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the pack.
In a dry and light place at a temperature below 25 ° C.
Keep the tablets in the original package.
